Atta Cake Recipe Without Egg In Microwave
Ingredients
Making atta cake without eggs in the microwave is simple and fast. You don't need many ingredients - just a few basic ones:
- 1 cup whole wheat atta (or wheat flour)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup butter or ghee (melted)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or jaggery (grated)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup curd (or yogurt)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
You can also add a few drops of edible food color if you like.
Instructions
Start by preheating your microwave to 350°F. Grease a microwave-safe baking dish with butter or ghee and keep it aside.
In a bowl, mix together the atta, baking powder and baking soda. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter or ghee and the brown sugar or jaggery. Then add the milk, curd, water, vanilla extract and cardamom powder and mix until everything is well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well until you get a uniform batter. If the batter is too thick, add a little more water and mix again. Lastly, fold in the chopped nuts and mix. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Place the baking dish in the middle of the microwave and bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Remove the baking dish from the microwave and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
